On the 6th of November, I was lucky enough to see the most important person, I feel, in drum education: Jojo Mayer in London . At ALF Drum Studios, we promote the Jojo Mayer techniques shown in his DVDs, ‘Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer’. Both myself and one of my students very much enjoyed Jojo displaying many of the techniques, as did the large crowd of drummers present.
I recommend to you all if you have the chance to go and see him and his band Nerve.
